Wayfarer Resolve is back in the edits. I'm not happy with a couple of chapters so I'm reworking them. I still hope to get it out in August but it will likely be later in the month.
Some high paying freelance work came my way so I'm working on that and on editing for the nonfiction book. I realized last night how much I like editing - particularly when there is a well written story to start with. Don't get me wrong, I've always loved editing but with all the other stuff I've been doing - this just reminded me.
One of the three submissions got picked up and now I've got two more submissions in to HHM / PPP. Once I've submitted, I try not to think about the submission because it is out of my hands. For some reason, my crochet patterns I'm always on pins and needles about it (or maybe I should say stitch holders and crochet hooks? Not as snappy but ...)
If you're interested in seeing the magazines, follow this link. If you buy an issue or subscription - I get a small amount but it doesn't cost you more. Here's the link Happily Hooked / Pattern Pro Pack. In July I had a pattern in both publications. They are a great publication - I like their layout and the way they showcase the patterns.
The manuscript I'm working on finally resolved the well what will I do next to build up to the climax but I've been so busy I haven't had writing time. Other work - freelance / editing (i.e. paid work) - has pulled me away from my writing. I'm hoping to get back on track for finishing the current manuscript.
I have two crochet things I need to work on - they are both blankets. One I will submit the pattern to HHM / PPP to see if they want to publish and the other is for a trade of services. Both need to get done fairly soon. I also have an order for some crochet items I need to work on.
This weekend I need to send off the box of stuff for the readers' event. I made stuff for the goody bags and a gift bag for the raffle. I have a few more things to get organized before I feel prepared for the event. I'm betting once I feel prepared by having all the things I need, the nerves for being my first reader event will start to settle in. I'm excited to meet readers and terrified no one will stop at my table.
TJ Jahns published her Moon Affirmation Coloring book. It's available on Amazon for $6.99.

Which Way is UP? (8/11/18)
My goal has been to get more patterns published. I submitted three patterns and one got accepted! Yeah! Last night I worked on a pattern and the pattern is complete I need to finish the crocheting so I can take a picture and submit the pattern.
If you're not being rejected, maybe you're not trying hard enough
